THE SOUNDZ Band bring together some very experienced musicians from the sunny south East who have previously played with some very well- known bands such as Avalon,  Soul Reazon,  City of Waterford Brass’ among others, the bands success is dependent on delivering a first experience to the couple & their guests is key. Brides to Be, Wedding Planners, venue & Hotel managers will attest to the fact that a Wedding or Function with The Soundz playing is one that will make your special day one to remember.

The Soundz incorporate various styles of music from pop, Rock, soul, 80’s & 90’s dance classics to jive & Latin & even a Waltz & Ceili if requested. All requests will be catered for in as far as possible. The band can be three, four, five, six, or seven piece with a Brass section if required. So if you want to make your special day or occasion that bit more special make sure to book THE SOUNDZ for your wedding or party.

“We got married at Waterford Castle on 24th August 2024 and "The Soundz"played for our wedding reception. We had a 5 piece band and then the DJ afterwards till 2am when we were all about ready to collapse. I honestly feel like we couldn't have had a better band!

FAQ’s

Here are some questions we are often asked.

HOW LONG DO THE BAND PLAY FOR?

The set is usually 2.5 / 2.75 hours long 

HOW MANY ARE IN THE BAND?

We have the option of a three, four & five piece band with also the option of Brass to make six piece

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SET UP?

Usually 40 minutes once we gain access to the Stage area. 

DO YOU TRAVEL NATIONWIDE?

Yes. We travel nationwide, in as far as possible, Travel costs & possibly overnight charges have to be added. We do not charge for the first 25KM of travel.

CAN YOU PROVIDE CEREMONY & DRINKS RECEPTION MUSIC?

Yes, we can provide a full day service if required, Ceremony music can be in the form of a string quartet, or something traditional, or Female vocalist with piano backing,

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?

Yes. We require a €250 deposit, which secures your date.

DO YOU OFFER A MIDWEEK DISCOUNT?

Yes. We offer a discount for non-weekend or off peak dates.

CAN YOU SET UP BEFORE THE MEAL?

Setup before the meal can be arranged for an extra fee, depending on circumstances.

CAN THE BAND PLAY OUR FIRST DANCE?

We have a list of first dance suggestions for you to choose from. However, if you would like us to play something that is not on the list, we will do our very best to learn it for you Ounce we are given prior notice, we can also play a song from CD OR USB if preferred.

DO YOU PLAY WALTZES?

Yes (IF REQUESTED) we usually play a few waltzes for the Aunts  & Uncles. However, we have no problem leaving them out!

CAN WE SELECT SOME OF THE SET LIST?

Yes, we welcome requests within reason, you can let us know if there are any songs, in particular you really do or do not want us to play, from experience we have a good idea of what works well to keep the dance floor full.

WHAT IS YOUR DRESS CODE?

We usually arrive in casual wear but change & wear suits while on stage. 

DO YOU LET PEOPLE GET UP TO SING?

Yes, we have no problem with that. Once it is cleared with the Bride & Groom.

CAN YOU PROVIDE A DJ?

Yes, we can have a Dj organised to start soon as the band finished for an extra fee. 

CAN I PICK A PLAYLIST FOR THE DJ?

Yes that’s no problem we encourage to give us a list of songs that ye like, 

HOW LONG DOES THE DJ PLAY FOR?

Depends a bit on the venue, Bar extension etc,The DJ can play on a bit longer for if you like (for an appropriate fee) but 2am is the usually the cut off time in most venues.

What happens if one or two of the band members are ill or are on annual leave or need to attend a family occasion or bereavement.

Like everyone else Musicians & Singers can fall ill or get sore throats or feel the need to take a break in such situations we have deps who stand in & who would have previously performed with the band before all whom are very accomplished musicians & singers.
